More Shit On My Mind

The human body essentially recreates itself every six months. nearly every cell of hair and skin and bones dies and another is directed to its former place. you were not who you were last december.

well - i've got nothing to say, my night is pretty boring. my solution? blogger. fantastic. here are some more tattoo pictures. i'm starting to get a thing for egypt head tattoos... might look rad on the leg? possibly my next tattoo! might post my favourite. cannot wait to get my canon 7D! aahhh. and thanks readers for the emails, appreciated!

DJ Earworm's United States of Pop 2010

DJ Earworms "United State of Pop 2010" latest annual mash-up of the top 25 billboard hits of the year can be heard below. a huge let down compared to last years mash-up, i'm just going to chalk up that pop music sucked in general this year.

Wouldn't of known this was out today if it weren't for the long drive home. and those who are curious; mandurah was awesome and i have a new iphone 4G. yippeee!

I Have The Best Friends

It isn't new years eve yet but i think i will just re-live some of the best moments of 2010. it will be brief, promise. 2010 was the year i moved in with sean, turned 18, started photography, got my first tattoo, got 2 jobs and met new people.

spent christmas day at my cousins with the company with my mother. after a nice lunch i spent the rest of the day down at mandurah with seans family. the lunch/dinner was amazing! the drinking was ridiculous! from the time i got there (about 2?) we started on the moet, kahlua cocktails, jagers and stellas! and we finished about 5 in the morning.

that night i also managed to drop my iphone into the canal while attempting to take some time exposed pictures. funny thing is we have the exact picture as when it happened - and that will come some time later! after 10 minutes i braved the waters and recovered my iphone. i think it's safe to say it's fucked and that i will need to buy the new iphone. it has been a very expensive christmas, but one i have enjoyed! may i add the presents that were bought for me this year were very considerate and everyone hit the nail on the head! i was very happy and flattered and if i were anyone else i probably would of cried! thank you! :)

i would share the rest of what happened in mandurah but i guess thats the experience of being a taggart + 1 haha. what happens in mandurah... yep. stays.

over & out.

Fuck Yeah, Tattoos!

a whole lot more of the tattoo sequence i have been doing on this blog lately. the idea of getting more ink done is making me crazy. i cannot help but stare at people who have sleeves and colourful tattoos because it is so amazing. anyhow here are some more canvas' of art i like to share with you.

Merry Christmas...

Just hopping on to share my words of merryness and happiness. is merryness a word? i don't think it is but for the sake of sounding somewhat educated - i'm going to say it is.

What's on my mind is a music genre. you guessed it - indie. now i have been trying to jump off the bandwagon about 'paying the genre out'. it was difficult, and it still is, i am trying! but it still bothers me. it's not so much the sound which bothers me anymore, i've ranted already about that, it's the people that listen to that music. now i'm not talking about the real definition of indie music (i.e unsigned artists) - i'm talking about the new definition of indie, as with what emo was once. what bothers me is that people listen to indie music because it is fashionable.

now i have good mates who listen to indie music and genuinely like it, but i can say they always have. however their is the exception besides those few who are on the indie train only because it is fashionable. no-one liked this shit 5 years ago. infact a year ago if you shaved the sides of your head you were a fucking fruit-loop. now every hipster has a 1" cut on the side of their head with a massive mushroom ontop - hey, it's cool!

Indie is a plague and will be crushed just as did emo, punk and pokemon. i just don't want music being ruined because sound no-longer becomes the sales breaker, trend does.

that's whats on my mind christmas morning.

merry christmas,

love max.

Scar The Pages With Permanent Ink

Well here it goes. spent the whole day buying presents, presents & presents! i have no problem with that! but the amount of money people, and i myself included, spend on christmas is a little ridiculous. this is my first year buying presents for family and let me tell you i have a big family! annnddd of course i also bought presents for seans family as i live with them - so it would make sense that i had to buy twice as many presents than anyone!

presents are such a hard thing to buy. i find it very difficult to acquire what one individual wants without them telling you. i now see why parents invented the whole "wish list". but because i don't know what they specifically want i usually spend more because "more is better". well, to be honest, my budget for christmas is $50 per person - it went up by $20 and on some occasions it doubled! so instead of spending  just a little under 500. i spent... *drum roll*.... $735.45... WOOOOO! fuuuuccckkk. but i'm glad i did it - christmas is only once a year and just so happens to be my favourite time of the year so i guess there was nothing wrong with "giving" a little. although i think that 735 dollars would of looked better on my skin.

what a fucking story. anyway to finish up i did a little buying for myself today and that was a tattoo magazine filled with babes covered to their neck in tats. my guilty pleasure. i scarred most the pages with my permanent marker depicting the good and bad ones with such dirty words. a little abnormal but who are you to judge, you are reading this blog. enjoy.

Another Weeks Round-Up Presented By Sleep Deprivation

Something to do with this odd hour in the morning that gives me fresh ideas. I somehow have the temptation to grab my camera and run outside to take pictures - but that won't be happening. the sprinklers have just turned on. if your unaware of what time i am blogging it is exactly 4:07 am in the morning. indeed i have not slept and i plan to be awake at 10 today.

4am: photo booth on the mac is awesome. don't pretend you don't fucking use it.

whats been happening with me lately? well besides a cochroach just flying out the air con above me and sky diving onto my bed - below average. it's been a pretty fuck off week. work has been raping my headspace and i've just been getting frustrated with everyone, including my best mate, which is a no no. i find that if i don't have enough time for myself i feel as though every small thing blows up to be something huger than what it really is - i.e small dis-agreements. however in saying that the week ahead has plenty of free days for me to just lay down, relax, and not work. i think that work at the moment is actually affecting my sleeping patterns, dramatically, hence being up so fucking early. and when i am awake all i want to do is smash the drums, play some youtube and hear some music.

the week hasn't been all that shit though. went to the casino 3 days in a row... friday saturday and sunday. and came home a winner. as they say - grinners are winners. and winners come home with at least 4 times the amount they come with, every time.

what's been fucking killing me good this week is A Day To Remember's new album,  What Separates Me From You. this album is talent and is stuck in my head. i feel obligated to play the whole album every time i open up itunes. i definitely think their best songs on this album are Sticks & Bricks, It's Complicated and Better Off This Way. this album will grow on me without a doubt the more i listen to it. give them a chance and hear them out, you won't be disappointed. their old stuff is pretty cool too and you can listen to that here. be sure to check out their old live shows, that shit is gold.
for those who may of noticed i'am buying a new canon camera - and i'm aiming at getting the canon 7D. it has everything i need. 19 autofocus points, 8 fps and 18 megapixels. i think that's a pretty big win! you won't notice a difference in quality in my other pictures as my old canon is still pretty amazing but i will just be able to do more amazing things my other camera can't. and i have some awesome ideas! but that's in the near future.

i'm going to catch up on some well needed sleep, burn some dollars in the city today and go to this christmas party tonight. oh and the first person to guess what that above picture is by commenting below wins a drive down elm street. aahh thats pretty bad. haha.

wish you the best. have a merry christmas. i hope i pass out.

Quick Snaps

Josh and Zac Leave Paramore

Paramore have offered an official statement concerning Josh and Zac leaving the band.

"A couple of months ago, Josh and Zac let us know they would be leaving the band after our show in Orlando last Sunday. None of us were really shocked. For the last year it hasn't seemed as if they wanted to be around anymore. We want Josh and Zac to do something that makes them happy and if that isn't here with us, then we support them finding happiness elsewhere."

I can't say I did not see this coming. after the release of the song 'ignorance' and the meaning of which it held it almost seemed to much of a problem to recover from. and also seeing them at the airport when they arrived in perth the band were all over the joint, were upset and the only person really smiling was hayley herself. then with everything else when all fails for josh and zac, they will get back together. where have I seen this before? oh, blink-182. but on a final note if paramore is looking for a drummer - my hands are up.

canada, canadians, canana!

by now if you are unfamiliar with my obsession with canadians i can only presume you are visually impaired and are somehow tuned out whenever i talk with you. the singer song writer, lights, from toronto is by far the best thing to ever step foot onto this planet. and let me just say this, i will, marry her. however lights is not the only thing i adore from canada... punk bands such as alexisonfire and cancer bats is where my heart lies too. can i also mention that hayley williams is by far the cutest fucking thing too?! aahhhhhh.
